If this occurs, take the following corrective measures: 1. Depress the brake pedal and stop the vehicle in a safe place.
2. Place the gearshift lever in the “P” (PARK) position, and then open the bonnet with the engine running to cool the engine.
3. After a while, check that the Mitsubishi Lancer: Warning display. and then stop the engine if the warning display has gone out, and then stop the engine if the warning display has gone out.
4. If the engine can be restarted, the vehicle can be driven normally.
